Connecticut Author Showcase-Saturday, April 27 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Large Print room and Teen room)

Authors from the local area and beyond will talk with patrons and sell and sign copies of their books at this enjoyable showcase! Please join us any time between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.! Refreshments will be served while supplies last. 

Featured authors will include: Sandra Enders, author of Meditations on the Rosary: Scripture, Psalms, Illustration, Guided Imagery and Meditations on the Pentateuch: Scripture and Illustration, Christine Polanco, author of a non-fiction religious memoir called Walking in God’s Divine Order, among other books, Albert Ruggiero, who will showcase his wife Carol Ruggiero’s book, Pearls from Carol, Mathew Duman, author of An Education in the Grotesque: The Gargoyles of Yale University and The Grotesque 10: Amazing Architectural Sculpture from Ten American Colleges & Universities, and Christopher Hemingway, library staff member and author of The Day the Bull Lived: And Other Poems,. Award-winning author, Jason Marchi will also be present. He is the author of the newly published AutomobiliaOde on a Martian UrnThe Legend of Hobbomock: The Sleeping Giant (Children’s book), Venus RememberedThe Island PeopleThe Growing Sweater (Children’s book), and The Man in the Black Frock Coat

Other authors include: Greg Dillon, author of The Thin Blue Lie:  An Honest Cop vs the FBI, Charles Harvey, author of Xylene, Colin Caplan, author of Pizza in New Haven, among five other books on New Haven history, George Gdovin, author of the newly published Memories, Memoirs & Miracles,  Marty Podskoch, author of Connecticut 169 Club: Your Passport & Guide to Exploring Connecticut  along with many others, Janet Stadolnik, author of the young adult novel The Secret of Duncan’s CastleTony Renzoni, author of Connecticut Bootlegger Queen Nellie Green, Historic Connecticut Music Venues along with many others, and Charles McNair, author of Soldiers of a Foreign War and In a Dark Wood: A Novel of the Civil War.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Elisabeth Breslav, author of Five Years Under Nazi Occupation-A World War II Memoir of Resilience and Survival in the Netherlands, will not be attending the showcase. Copies of her book are available to purchase online through Nedvision Publishing for $19.99. Her book is also available on Amazon.com, and the library has 2 copies available for loan.

Authors will be selling copies of their books. If you are interested in purchasing books, please bring several methods of payment as each author varies in the method of payment they will accept.

Extra parking for evening and weekend library events is available in the East Haven Town Hall parking lot on 250 Main Street (across the street from the library), in the KeyBank parking lot next to the library (after 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays and after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays) and in the Stop and Shop lot behind the library, accessible from Messina Drive.
