Drop-in the library anytime between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10 and meet the authors of East Haven: A Guide for Residents by Residents, Amy Derbacher and Ralph Vuolo, Jr. Learn how the book came about and the authors’ plans for future books!

Part Guide. Part Scrapbook. Part Story. “East Haven” has something for everyone. From 17th century Iron Works Village and 80’s and 90’s “Staven” to present day East Haven, CT, we share stories & photos, old and new as well a everything a resident (new or seasoned) is looking for. Just a few of our topics include a brief history, geography, recreation, education, the arts, landmarks, but there is so much more. Bonus fill in the blanks too – for your everyday life. With this book, we hope to rekindle memories of the past and guide you in the future.

Refreshments from local businesses and restaurants will be served.

Copies of East Haven: A Guide for Residents by Residents will be for sale at $10 each. Cash, Venmo and Checks will be accepted. Have your copy signed by the authors!

Extra parking for evening and weekend library events is available in the East Haven Town Hall parking lot on 250 Main Street (across the street from the library), in the KeyBank parking lot next to the library (after 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays and after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays) and in the Stop and Shop lot behind the library, accessible from Messina Drive.
