Libby

Libby is a free app where you can borrow ebooks, digital audiobooks, and magazines from your public library. You can stream titles with Wi-Fi or mobile data, or download them for offline use and read them anytime, anywhere. All you need to get started is a library card.

Special Notice about Libby for 2026:

A quick update on accessing your free account in Libby: as part of ongoing security maintenance, Libby will now require a barcode AND a password to access ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines. Your password will be the same as the one you use to access your account in our online catalog or the Acorn app.

Don’t know your password? No worries! We can help. Please see a library staff member, call our main number at 203-468-3890, visit our catalog, or use our Acorn app to reset your password. (NOTE: You must have an email associated with your library account to reset your password on your own. If you don’t have an email associated with your account, library staff can help).
