This May we’re taking on the recipes of English chef, television presenter, and author Ainsley Harriott! Ainsley Harriott is an English chef, television presenter, and author. He is known for his BBC cooking game shows “Can’t Cook, Won’t Cook” and “Ready Steady Cook.” Ainsley is also a best-selling author, publishing twelve books as well as numerous others in conjunction with his television shows; including foreign-language translations, he has sold over 2 million books worldwide!
This club is hosted by our Reference Librarian, Chris Hemingway, who selects a topic/chef for each month’s meeting and sets aside at Main Circulation their cookbooks for attendees to check out. From the cookbooks, participants will select and prepare a dish of their choosing to share with the group at their next meeting, as well as what worked, what didn’t, what modifications (if any) you’ve elected to make, and so on – you’ve got this, Chef! As the group size varies, just bringing in a small dish for everyone to try a bite or two of is perfectly fine.
Extra parking for evening and weekend library events is available in the East Haven Town Hall parking lot on 250 Main Street (across the street from the library), in the KeyBank parking lot next to the library (after 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays and after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays) and in the Stop and Shop lot behind the library, accessible from Messina Drive.
