Teen Crafting Club

September 4th, October 2nd, November 6th | 4:00 to 5:30 PM

Anime Club

Dive into the world of anime and manga with our new Anime Club! Whether you’re a seasoned fan or brand new, enjoy screenings of popular anime series and discuss your favorite manga! Open to teens age 12 to 18; drop-ins welcome.

 

Teen Advisory Group

Every Friday | 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM

Help us make the library a better place for yourself & all teens! Discuss new library programs, vote on new books to add to our YA collection & more! All teens joining us will earn community service hours for their participation. Open to teens age 12 to 18; drop-ins welcome.

 

Tabletop Club

September 19th, October 17th, November 21st | 5:30 to 7:30 PM

Drop-in Character Creation

September 11th & 18th | 6:00 to 7:30 PM

Are you a fan of Dungeons & Dragons? Join us for our Tabletop Club to play Dungeons & Dragons. This year, we’ll be playing through the Humblewood campaign – Play as woodland creatures in this grand adventure to fight the fires threatening all of Humblewood! Library character sheets will be available, but if you’d like to build your own character, you can drop in one of our character creation sessions. All materials are provided; open to teens age 12 to 18. Drop-ins welcome.

 

Autumn Reading Challenge

September 3rd to October 25th

Pick up a bingo card from the teen room to take part in our Autumn Reading Challenge! Complete the challenges on the card and turn it in by October 25th – every complete bingo line gets you an entry towards a Halloween prize pack! Open to teens age 12-18.

Trading Card Night

Tuesday, September 12th | 6:00 to 7:30 PM

Drop into the library to test out your skills with trading card games! Play Pokémon, Magic: the Gathering, or Disney Lorcana. Bring your own deck or use one a library deck. Card trading will also be available! Open to teens age 12 to 18; drop-ins welcome

 

Murder Mystery Party

Teen Movie Night: Five Nights at Freddy’s (2023)

Saturday, October 10th | 5:30 to 7:30 PM

Join us for a free screening of the 2023 supernatural horror film based on the hit video game! Fresh popcorn and other refreshments will be served. Open to teens age 12 to 18 and their families; drop-ins welcome.

 

CTWHF Talks on the Road

Saturday, November 2nd | 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM

Women inducted in the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame persevered to preserve their culture and ensure that minority groups receive an equal place in society. CWHf’s newest Talk on the Road program explores Connecticut women such as Fidelia Hoscott Fielding, who preserved the Mohegan-Pequot language for future generations, Ann Petry, who gave a voice to black writers, and Maria Sanchez, a strong advocate for the Puerto Rican community and the initiator of bilingual education in Hartford.

 

Teen Choice Afternoon
