City Lights is a 1931 American romantic comedy-drama film written, produced, directed by, and starring Charlie Chaplin. The film is about the misadventures of Chaplin’s Tramp character as he falls in love with a blind flower girl (Virginia Cherrill) and befriends an alcoholic millionaire (Harry Myers).
There is music in “City Lights.” Arthur Johnston and Alfred Newman arranged and orchestrated the music for the film along with Chaplin.
