Marketing Professional Ken Engelman will provide you with a playbook to help your community nonprofit move beyond survival and into real sustainable growth.
In this workshop, Mr. Engelman will teach community nonprofits how to:
Attract local donors who genuinely care about your mission
• Recruit and retain volunteers before they age out
• Build trust and credibility where it matters most—right in your own community
• Increase awareness without paid advertising
• Tell your story in a way that inspires people to act
• Build partnerships with local businesses, schools, and civic groups
• Strengthen fundraising efforts without exhausting staff or volunteers
Ken Engelman, author of The Local Nonprofit Marketing & Fundraising Guide: How Small and Community Non-profits Attract Donors, Recruit Volunteers, and Build Trust, is a longtime community volunteer, nonprofit advocate and marketing professional who believes meaningful change doesn’t require massive budgets-just creativity, consistency, and genuine human connection.
A graduate of Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communications (Advertising, Marketing, and Media), Ken brings more than 30 years of experience in media, marketing, advertising and community engagement.
