Contemporary Book Club: “Broken Country” by Clare Leslie Hall-Monday, February 23 at 3:00 p.m. (Shoreline Trolley Museum, 17 River Street))

Join our contemporary book club on Monday, February 16 at 3:00 p.m. to discuss Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall. We will meet at the Shoreline Trolley Museum on 17 River Street in East Haven.

Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall is a sweeping love story with thriller elements, set in the English countryside, that toggles between the past and present to explore the legacy of first love after a tragic event brings the past back to life. The story centers on Beth, who is married to Frank and has a past with Gabriel, a man she loved as a teenager. When Gabriel returns to their small village, it stirs up old passions, rekindles their connection, and unearths dangerous secrets, forcing Beth to confront the choices she made and decide between her past and present.

Join Hagaman Library’s Contemporary Book Club, which meets every other month on the third Monday at 3:00 p.m. The group is facilitated by Cynthia Gwiazda, Community Services Librarian. All are welcome to join! To join the discussion, contact Cynthia at 203-468-3891 or cgwiazda@hagamanlibrary.org.
