“Summer Songs and Sea Shanties” A Family Concert Performed by Singer, Songwriter Liz McNicholl-Wednesday, July 24 at 6:30 p.m. (Library Front Lawn-weather permitting-In the case of rain-DeMayo room)

Join us out on the library’s front lawn (weather permitting) for a fun family concert: “Summer Songs and Sea Shanties” performed by Liz McNicholl.

Magical Music with Liz McNicholl  ~ Liz McNicholl is a singer, songwriter, and well loved performer and children’s music educator and has been entertaining audiences of all ages in Connecticut and beyond for many years. From Children/Family shows at festivals, libraries and schools to private events.  She caters her shows to a wide range of musical themes depending on the occasion:  From “Dinosaurs, Dragons and Unicorns”, “Drum and Sing Jamboree”, “Around the world music & dance”, to an “Irish Celebration concert for kids or grown ups”.

Liz is originally from County Meath, Ireland and makes her home in Hamden, CT.  She has been teaching and directing the beloved Early Childhood program, Music Together®  in New Haven County for many years. Liz has a wonderful, energetic and bubbly personality that she brings to every performance and plays the Guitar, Ukulele and Bódhran (Irish Drum).  Improvising on the spur of the moment to include everyone in her show and creates a wonderful sense of community.  Liz provides an array of musical instruments to the audience to participate in her children’s shows, with lots of movement and dancing for a fun and energetic show.

Extra parking for evening and weekend library events is available in the East Haven Town Hall parking lot on 250 Main Street (across the street from the library), in the KeyBank parking lot next to the library (after 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays and after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays) and in the Stop and Shop lot behind the library, accessible from Messina Drive.
