Free Crochet & Knitting Club for Everyone! Weekly on Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. (Large Print room/Teen Room/DeMayo room)

Enjoy the library’s Crochet and Knitting Club for everyone! Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced knitter or crocheter, please join us! The crochet club will be taught by experienced crochet artists Sue Carrozza and Claire Carrano. There will also be a knitting club available at the same time! The knitting club is taught by Lorie Pellegrino.

Crochet is a fiber art done with one hook and one strand of yarn. It is easy, very fun, and full of possibilities. The main difference between crochet and knitting is that crochet has only one live stitch at all times – the stitch that lives on your hook.

Knitting is a method for production of textile fabrics by interlacing yarn loops with loops of the same or other yarns. It is used to create many types of garments. Knitting may be done by hand or by machine.

The Crochet Club will meet weekly on Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. in the library’s Large Print room.

The Knitting Club will meet weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. -7:45 p.m. The club will meet in the Teen Room or the DeMayo room (the DeMayo room is on the library’s lower level near the Children’s Department).

Most materials will be provided for both clubs, however, if you have materials at home (such as crochet hooks or a special yarn you prefer to use) please feel free to bring them along.

No need to sign-up. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows. If you would like more information, please contact Cynthia, Community Services Librarian at: cgwiazda@hagamanlibrary.org
