Waiting List Only-Crochet & Knitting Club for Everyone! Weekly from Tuesday, September 19 through Tuesday, December 5 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. (Large Print room/Teen Room)

PLEASE NOTE: BOTH THE CROCHET & KNITTING CLUB’S ARE FULL TO CAPACITY

Enjoy the library’s new Crochet and Knitting Club for everyone! Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced knitter or crocheter, this is the class for you! The class will be taught by experienced crochet artist Sue Carrozza. There will also be a knitting class available at the same time! The knitting class is taught by Lori Pellegrino.

Crochet is a fiber art done with one hook and one strand of yarn. It is easy, very fun, and full of possibilities. The main difference between crochet and knitting is that crochet has only one live stitch at all times – the stitch that lives on your hook.

Knitting is a method for production of textile fabrics by interlacing yarn loops with loops of the same or other yarns. It is used to create many types of garments. Knitting may be done by hand or by machine.

Both classes will meet weekly in the library’s Large Print room on Tuesday evenings beginning on Tuesday, September 19 and will end on Tuesday, December 5.

Most materials will be provided, however, if you have materials at home (such as crochet hooks or a special yarn you prefer to use) please feel free to bring them along.

Both the Crochet and Knitting Club’s are currently full to capacity. You may place your name on the waiting list for either club by calling the library at (203) 468-3890 or by sending an email to Cynthia at: cgwiazda@hagamanlibrary.org

Extra parking for evening and weekend library events is available in the East Haven Town Hall parking lot on 250 Main Street (across the street from the library), in the KeyBank parking lot next to the library (after 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays and after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays) and in the Stop and Shop lot behind the library, accessible from Messina Drive.
