Cookbook Club: Korean Recipes-Friday, July 19 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (DeMayo room)

Chefs, join us again for Cookbook Club, where this time around, we’ll prepare and share traditional Korean recipes! Korean cuisine has evolved through centuries of social and political change. Originating from ancient agricultural and nomadic traditions in Korea and southern Manchuria, Korean cuisine reflects a complex interaction of the natural environment and different cultural trends.

Korean cuisine is largely based on rice, vegetables, seafood, and (at least in South Korea) meats. Ingredients and dishes vary by province, but kimchi is served at almost every meal! To learn more, or to join Cookbook Club, please stop in, call us at 203-468-3890 or contact Chris Hemingway at: chemingway@hagamanlibrary.org. As attendance size varies, bringing in a small dish for your fellow chefs to have a bite or two is perfectly fine.
