Celebrate National Poetry Month! Share Your Poem(s) for Inclusion in Hagaman’s First-Ever Poetry Chapbook! April 1-May 30

UPDATE: Chapbook submissions will now be accepted through Friday, May 30. A drawing will be held on Monday, June 9:

Celebrate National Poetry month this April! Submit your poem(s) for inclusion in Hagaman Memorial Library’s first ever poetry chapbook! For every poem you submit, you will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a “vegan leather” Tree of Life journal and pen gift set! Bring your original poems to our main circulation desk and we will make a copy and give you a raffle ticket for the prize drawing.

If you do not wish to submit your poem(s) for publication in our chapbook, but you would still like to participate in the contest, simply show us your poem(s) and instead of making a copy of them for publication, we will give you a raffle ticket for each poem you have written.

The prize drawing will be held on Monday, June 9. The chapbook will be compiled and published over the summer and an announcement will be made when it is completed. The chapbook will be cataloged and available for patrons to borrow from the library.

By submitting poems for publication in our chapbook, the author grants Hagaman Library the non-exclusive right in perpetuity to publish and/or broadcast their poem(s).

Note: While the library is closed for repairs, you can click here to submit your poem for the chapbook. Simply write your poem(s) inside the form or upload them from a document on your PC, laptop or other device.

For any questions about this contest, please contact Cynthia, Community Services Librarian at 203-468-3891 or at: [email protected].
