1776 Book Club: “”John Adams” by David McCullough – Wednesday, June 10 at 3:00 p.m.(DeMayo room)
In honor of America250, we will be launching a special 1776 Book Club, with no RSVP needed! For our first pick, we’ll discuss “John Adams” by David McCullough.
“John Adams” by David McCullough is a Pulitzer Prize-winning biography of the second U.S. President, chronicling his life from a revolutionary patriot to the presidency, emphasizing his complex personality, his vital relationship with Abigail Adams, and his role in American history. The book is praised for its rich historical detail, compelling narrative, and use of Adams family letters, making it both a historical account and a human story. It was adapted into a popular HBO miniseries.
