This is a free informational workshop presented by Erin Dugues of Czepiga Daly Pope & Perri:
The Connecticut probate process: What is it? And Why do we need it?
Not sure what probate is? You’re not alone! The Connecticut probate court oversees an orderly transfer of title of the decedent’s (deceased person’s) assets from the decedent’s name to his or her beneficiaries. Madison-based estate planning attorney, Erin Duques, will explain how the probate process works and you’ll learn the important steps you need to take in order to administer an estate. You’ll also learn about living trusts and how these tools can help avoid probate. And finally, you’ll learn about some of the potential pitfalls in the process and how careful planning can avoid them.
This program is free and open to everyone. You may register to attend this program by calling the library at 203-468-3890 or by sending an email to Cynthia at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
